Who we are

How the tool handles your data
The microphone, webcam, keyboard and screen tests run entirely in your browser. Audio and video from your devices are processed on your device only — they are never uploaded, streamed or stored on any server.
- Your browser asks for permission before the site can use your microphone or camera. You can withdraw that permission at any time in your browser settings.
- The optional 5-second microphone recording is kept in your browser’s memory and is discarded when you record again, leave or reload the page.
- Webcam snapshots are created in your browser. They are only saved if you choose to download them, and then only to your own device.
- Key presses in the keyboard test are shown on screen and are not recorded or sent anywhere.
The site’s security settings only allow camera and microphone use by this site itself, and block it from sending data to other servers.
Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare receives technical information when your browser requests a page — such as your IP address, browser type and the address requested — so it can deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We do not use this information to identify you. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
Cookies and local storage
We do not set cookies. If you use the light/dark theme button, your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage so the site remembers it. It never leaves your device and you can clear it at any time by clearing site data in your browser.
Analytics
We do not currently use any analytics service.
Advertising
This site does not currently show ads. If that changes, we will update this policy first.
Links to other sites
We link to other websites. Their privacy practices are their own; please read their policies.
Children
The site is for a general audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect children’s data.
Your rights
Because we do not collect personal data through the tool, there is usually nothing for us to access, correct or delete. If you have a question or request about your data, including under data protection laws such as the UK or EU GDPR, email hello@example.com.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the site handles data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
