Terms of Use
Last updated: 19 October 2026
These terms apply to your use of Device Test (“the site”), run by Micro Tools. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Using the site
The site is free to use for personal and business purposes. Please do not misuse it — for example by trying to disrupt it, overload it or access it in ways it was not designed for.
Results are for information only
The tests show what your browser can detect. They help with troubleshooting but cannot diagnose every hardware fault, and results can depend on your browser, operating system and settings.
The screen test fills your screen with solid colours that change when you click or press a key. If you are sensitive to changing light or colours, please take care.
The optional stuck pixel fixer flashes colours rapidly. It only starts after you confirm a photosensitivity warning. Do not use it if you or anyone who can see your screen has photosensitive epilepsy or is sensitive to flashing lights. It cannot repair dead pixels and may not fix stuck ones. The speaker test plays sound: start with a low volume.
We work to keep the site accurate, but we provide it “as is”, without warranties of any kind. You are responsible for checking results before relying on them for anything important.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site or its results. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Content and trademarks
The site’s text, design and code belong to Micro Tools or its licensors. Product names mentioned on the site belong to their owners and are used only to describe compatibility.
Links to other sites
We are not responsible for the content or practices of websites we link to.
